2011 Dividend Machine DIVIDEND INCREASES

Dear Income Investors:

Finding dividend machines using only four simple criteria was the one of the goals of this blog during this first year.  One of the criteria was to include companies that have increased their dividend every year for at least the past five years.

The theory behind including the dividend increase hurdle was that we income investors need our income to increase and we do not want to be traders in order to accomplish that goal.  Other fixed income instruments rarely provide for reliable increasing income.   Dividend machines can fulfill your need for increasing annual income.

Listed below are the dividend machines that have increased as of Friday, November 18, 2011 since they were profiled.  Twenty five of the fifty two dividend machines profiled have already raised their dividend.  Each of these companies is listed below.

If any of 2011’s 52 dividend machines fails to raise the dividend within 12 months of the original date the company was profiled, I will drop them from the list and let you know.   I hope this exercise in using simple screening criteria to find companies that pay you safe, and ever increasing income is worth your effort.   Moreover, an important step in problem solving is to analyze how you did before you embark on further implementation.   So far, the income from our dividend machines is working out nicely.

Very Truly Yours,
TheMoneyMadam
